I stopped at a yard sale and there they were. Two little vintage, stuffed monkeys, a boy and girl, longing to be loved again. They had found their way out of someone's attic and into a pile of unloved and discarded stuffed animals. I rescued them and brought them home to sit on a shelf in my laundry room. Every time I looked at them I smiled. I would sit them close and help them hug and they seemed to smile back at me. I moved them out of the laundry room and into the den. They were happy in their new home and  now they have become a part of our family.

I have since made each of my Grand kids a sock monkey. Each monkey made with TLC and a little of each child's personality included. A soldier and rock star a princess and a jock. Each monkey was a “one of a kind” just like my grand kids.

I made a few more monkeys as gifts and then I fell under the spell of the monkey. Every person who sees them has a story or a memory that brings a smile to their face. If they are old they remember making one, if they are a baby boomer they remember getting one and now with my help, a new generation  will fall under the spell of the monkey.

Except for the double machine stitched seams to make their arms and legs, every stitch is done by hand.

Each outfit is custom designed. I use new poly fill stuffing and I have a pet free and smoke free home.

Part of what makes each of these little guys so unique is their black button eyes.  The buttons are double stitched, but please,  use your judgment as to the safety and chocking hazard for your little one.  Some of these little guys have small decoration , so be aware of that too.

All Monkeys are shipped Priority USPS with Tracking.  Postage charges calculated at check out.   Insurance on request.
